The star Indian opener Shubman Gill couldn’t live up to the expectations and his recent batting form; once again and now in the ongoing second of the three-match ODI series against Australia. Gill fell prey to the veteran Indian pacer Mitchell Starc only on the third ball of the first innings on a duck; without getting off the mark.
He went to play it completely away from the body that went straight in the safe hands of Marnus Labuschagne in the point region. Labuschagne made no mistake in carrying the ball at the height of his chest.
Notably, Gill also failed to impress with the bat in the first ODI when he got dismissed the same way; coincidentally against the same bowler and same catcher. He could score only 20 runs in the first ODI against the Aussies.
Subsequently, the fans were also miffed at the 23-year-old for a continuous poor display with the bat in the white-ball series. They took no time in taking to Twitter to brutally troll Shubman Gill and criticized his intent against the quality bowlers or on the tough surfaces.
Here’s how fans reacted:

Gill had problems against Starc when the ball was moving, didn't look at ease in both ODIs, same goes for SKY

Speaking of the current action of the ongoing second ODI between India and Australia, the hosts are struggling in the first innings after being asked to bat by the visitors’ skipper Steve Smith; they have lost three wickets only on the score of 32 runs in the first five overs of the first innings.
Mitchell Starc crumbled the Indian top order by scalping the wickets of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma followed by Suryakumar Yadav in two successive deliveries. Starc has scalped all three wickets of India so far with his amazing experience and brilliance with the ball.
At the time of filling this copy, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were there in the middle in an effort to rescue India from a top-order trauma.
