Former Australian skipper and modern-day batting great, Steve Smith played a crucial role in Australia’s amazing run in the last two editions of the tournament. He scored 379 runs in 10 innings of the 10 matches in ODI World Cup 2019 with an average of 37.90, including 4 vital half-centuries.
Currently, Smith was recently out of action from international cricket for Australia due to an injury so he missed the South Africa tour. Now, he could be in action for Aussies in the upcoming ODI series against India, in India just ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023. David Warner
The veteran Australian opener David Warner was one of the key factors in Australia’s ODI World Cup 2019 campaign till the semi-final of the tournament. He also ended up as the second-leading run-scorer in the tournament just a run behind current Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.

Ben Stokes
Star all-rounder Ben Stokes emerged as the main headline of the ODI World Cup 2019 for a heroic unbeaten knock of 84 runs for England in the final of the tournament against New Zealand. The match ended in a tie and it was only Ben Stokes who helped England to cross the line in the super over and won their first ever ODI World Cup.

In these matches, Buttler has scored runs with a fine average of 41.49, including 11 centuries and 24 half-centuries with the bat. He could end up as the player of the tournament in the ODI World Cup 2023 considering his current form.
