India won its fifth match in a row in the ODI World Cup 2023. After beating New Zealand by 4 wickets in Dharamshala, India extended its winning streak to 5 wins in a row in the tournament. A collective team effort helped the Indian team to win the match against another team that was on a winning streak of 4 wins in a row.

Mohammed Shami was the star of the show for India. The right-arm pacer made his comeback to the side in the absence of Hardik Pandya and gave a memorable performance with the ball. In his 10 overs, Shami conceded only 54 runs and claimed 5 wickets. Many of those wickets were of top-order batters like Will Young, Daryl Mitchell, and Rachin Ravindra.

But the best of the lot was his inch-perfect yorker to get rid of Mitchell Santner. It was as perfect as it could get and was unplayable to any batter. Speaking about his spell in the match, Shami felt happy about his performance, which helped India to claim the win. The Indian cricketer also stressed the need to celebrate each other's success, which leads to better performance as a team.

During the match, a strange incident occurred, which caught the attention of the fans. The match was stopped for a brief period due to the interruption of fog. During the post-match conference, Shami was asked about the same. The Indian cricketer gave a savage reply to it. Shami said that the conditions were the same for both teams in the match.

Shami said that one should not complain about the groundsmen and conditions. "There is no complaint because it was the same for both the teams. We cannot say anything to the groundsman because he is helpless, it's his job, and he tries very hard. In India and abroad, there are ups and downs. Sometimes they play on wet grounds. Sometimes we play on dry ground. No complaints," said the Indian bowler.
