In the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, star India batter Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma have been phenomenal. Throughout the tournament, they have been leading the team with bats. Their amazing batting performances have helped India post or chase good totals. They have been India's backbone for the last decade. However, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada didn't feel the same.

While speaking with the official broadcaster, Star Sports, Rabada picked his favourite Indian cricketer. His choice shocked everyone, as he didn't even consider Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Rabada star allrounder Ravindra Jadeja is his current favourite Indian player. This is not the first time Rabada has praised Jadeja. Last month, before South Africa's game against Pakistan, he had echoed the same.

He had said, “My current favourite cricketer is Ravindra Jadeja. He is a complete cricketer who can contribute to all three facets of the game. He is a world-class bowler, a great fielder, and a more than handy batsman. He is also a very intelligent cricketer who knows how to read the game and make match-winning contributions."

Can South Africa get back on track?

After a humiliating defeat against India at Eden Gardens on November 5, South Africa will be looking to get back on track. The team will face Afghanistan at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 10. The game will be a do-or-die event for Afghanistan, as they require a huge win to stay in the race for the semifinals.

On the other hand, South Africa will look to gain some confidence by beating Afghanistan. The team is set to face Australia in the semifinals on November 16 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Meanwhile, India is set to face the fourth semifinalist on November 15 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. As the tournament approaches, its business-end teams will be looking to get that co-voted title.
