India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has turned 36. On the occasion, thousands of fans wished him on Twitter and there are more to come as we speak. Talking about Ashwin, he made his international debut in an ODI game against Sri Lanka in June 2010. In the 50-over format, he has played 113 games and has 151 wickets to his name averaging 33.49 and a strike rate of 40.6

The right-arm bowler was also part of the 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy winning teams. Talking about his T20I career, he made his debut in a game against Zimbabwe. In the shortest format of the game, he has played 56 games and has 66 scalps to his name. After making his debut in limited-overs cricket, the Tamil Nadu player didn't have to wait for his Test debut for long.

In late November 2011, the off-spinner made his Test debut against the West Indies. In the longest format, he played 86 games and has 442 wickets to his name. A few months ago, he broke the record of Harbhajan Singh, who has 417 wickets to his name and is now retired from the game. It will be interesting to see whether Ashwin can break the record of former India Test skipper Anil Kumble's 617.

These days, Ashwin is an active member of the Test side but doesn't play white-ball games much. However, a few months ago, he was included in the T20I squad for the series against the West Indies. Also, the 36-year-old was included in the Asia Cup 2022 squad. The Chennai player is one of the most sought players in the Indian T20 League. He started with his home franchise before shifting to now-defunct Pune. After this, he played for Punjab and Delhi before moving to Rajasthan this year.
