The Indian cricketing fraternity has left stunned just after the Zee News’ shocking sting operation of the chief selector of the All-India men’s senior selection committee, Chetan Sharma. Notably, Chetan Sharma was re-appointed as the chairman of the selection committee just a few months after the selection committee was sacked due to Team India’s horrific outing in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 semi-final against England.

Recently, one of the renowned Indian TV media houses Zee News happened to do a sting of Sharma in their show ‘Game Over’. The 57-year-old has come up with a lot of shocking revelations on what happens within the management of Team India. Meanwhile, he also made a major statement on the fitness of players and their tactics before the match to get themselves fully available.

“Some Indian superstar players take injections to be 100% match ready. Those injections don't get caught in dope test". (Sting operation by Zee),” said Chetan Sharma to Zee News in the sting operation.

Although this statement didn’t do well with the Indian cricket fans they immediately took to Twitter to lash out at Chetan Sharma; for not taking any action against players despite knowing this much about their fitness parameters.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Notably, this sting controversy might have a big impact on Indian cricket as a big must-win series is underway against Australia. The hosts will lock horns with the Aussies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday, the 17th of February later this week. Currently, Rohit Sharma’s men are leading the series by a margin of 1-0 with a massive and convincing victory of an innings and 132 runs.

In another line of events, the third of the four-match Test series has been shifted from the HPCA Stadium of Dharmshala to Indore’s Holkar Stadium. The match will be played from Wednesday, the 1st of  March to the 5th of March next month.
