Team India locked horns with Sri Lanka in the second match of the ongoing three-match T20I series. The Men in Blue won the first game by a small margin of two runs. So, fans were hoping that the home team will look to seal the series by winning this clash. On the other hand, the visitors were looking for a win to level the series.
Speaking of their performance in the first match, Shivam Mavi made an excellent debut. He took four wickets for 22 runs in four overs. Along with him, Umran Malik also bowled well. He took two wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Both these pacers were vital in order to defend that total of 162 runs.

So, both the bowlers managed to take six wickets by conceding 49 runs in eight overs. Meanwhile, Umran Malik made headlines when he bowled a 155 kmph delivery in the series opener. On that delivery, he managed to take the wicket of the Sri Lanka skipper, Dasun Shanaka. So, fans were hoping to see such a pace once again in the second game. Speaking of the second game, Rahul Tripathi made his T20I debut and it was a great moment for the batter. India won the toss and opted to field first.
While batting first, Sri Lanka scored 206 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Skipper Dasun Shanaka scored 56* runs off 22 balls, including two fours and six over-boundaries. But, Umran Malik had a good outing once again as he took three wickets. Umran finished his match spell with three wickets for 48 runs in four overs. Among those wickets, the third wicket of Wanindu Hasaranga was top-notch where he hit the top of the off-stumps.
