The young Indian opening batter Shubman Gill has turned 24 today; he is currently in action with Team India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. In the same line of events, the former legendary Indian batter and one of the all-time greats, Sachin Tendulkar also wrote a special post on X for Gill on his birthday. Meanwhile, the fans went on to associate it with Sachin’s daughter Sara Tendulkar. Notably, there have been rumours for a long time that Shubman and Sara are reportedly dating each other.

“Happiest birthday to you Shubman Gill, may the upcoming year be full of runs and great memories,” wrote Sachin Tendulkar in his X post while extending birthday wishes to the young Punjab-born batter.

Gill is currently in good touch with the bat; he played an unbeaten knock of 67 runs to help India win by 10 wickets in the group-stage match against Nepal in the Asia Cup 2023. He also stitched an unbeaten century-partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma to chase down the target comfortably before the given overs.

Now, all eyes are on Gill when he will be in action for Team India in the upcoming match against the arch-rivals Pakistan. Both teams will be locking horns with each other again in the super-4 round after they clashed in the group stage, where the match ended without any result as it was called off due to rain.

The 24-year-old star batter is also a part of the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023; he could be an opening partner of skipper Rohit Sharma to start the proceedings for India in the tournament. Apart from that, he can play a vital role in India’s run in the tournament in the quest for their third ODI World Cup title.
