Bangalore is playing against Chennai at the DY Patil Stadium in the 22nd match of the Indian T20 League. This match always gets the fans excited as two Indian greats, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, take on each other.
Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Bangalore team players were seen wearing the black armbands as soon as they stepped on the park, leaving fans wondering. The reason for the same has now been revealed. The players are wearing the black armbands to mourn the demise of Harshal Patel's sister. Patel's sister recently passed away after long illness. The pacer left the bubble after Bangalore's match against Mumbai and is not part of today's game. However, the team made sure to pay their tributes to his sister.

Harshal Patel won the purple cap last season with 32 wickets. He looked in good touch this season as well before leaving for home. He took six wickets in four matches and bowled with an economy of just 5.5 runs per over. How long will he be unavailable to the team is still unknown.
Meanwhile, Chennai got off to a poor start as they lost Ruturaj Gaikwad in the fourth over. He could only score 17 runs in 16 balls before he fell to Josh Hazlewood. Chennai could only add 35 runs in the powerplay. Post that, Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube torn apart the Chennai bowling and added 165 runs together. Chennai scored 156 runs in last nine overs and ended their innings on a mammoth 216-4.
