Team India captain Rohit Sharma seems to be enjoying his time in West Indies, and why not? The Men in Blue got off to a great start in the opening match of the 2023-25 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. India took a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series with a comprehensive victory of an innings and 141 runs.
Captain Rohit smashed his second overseas century and forged a 200+ run partnership with debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal to outclass Windies on Friday. Following his side's success, Rohit took to Instagram to post a picture of himself showcasing the beauty of the Caribbean island in the background. However, it was the caption he shared that caught the attention of his fans.
The veteran opener, who often gives funny reactions during media interactions, this time shared a hilarious dialogue from Shah Rukh Khan's famous movie “Baazigar” as a caption. "Anarkali ka phone tha, ice cream khana bahut zaroori hai," the caption read.
As usual, the post quickly went viral on social media and many of his fans came up with impressive replies in the comment section. However, it was his wife Ritika Sajdeh who stole the show with her sense of humour. “But you were talking to me and asking if the coffee machine was okay,” she replied sarcastically, leaving fans in splits.

Getting them out for 150 set the game for us: Rohit after India's resounding victory
Jaiswal and Rohit stitched a 229-run partnership as India scored 421/5 in their first innings to take a massive lead after bowling out West Indies for 150. Rohit scored 103 runs, while Jaiswal hammered 171 runs in his debut international match. Ravichandran Ashwin then tore through the Windies batting unit in the second innings to seal India's victory. Speaking after the game, Rohit said that restricting the opponents to a low first innings score set the tone for India's win.
"Every run you score for the country is important. I would like to start by saying it was a great effort with the ball. Getting them out for 150 set the game for us. We knew batting would get tough, it wasn't easy to score runs. We knew we wanted to bat only once and bat long. Get over 400 runs and then came out and bowled really well," the 36-year-old said.
