Star India batter Virat Kohli has been one of the greatest players in modern cricket. He has been phenomenal for India in his cricketing career and has hammered more than 75 centuries. He has the second-highest number of centuries before his name after Sachin Tendulkar, who has scored 100 tons in international cricket. Meanwhile, a former Pakistan pacer has compared Kohli with Babar Azam and has backed the Pakistan skipper to score more centuries than Kohli.

Former Pakistan superstar Shoaib Akhtar has backed Babar to score more centuries than Kohli at the end of his career. In a recent interview, Akhtar made this comment which left fans split. Akhtar was in Doha for the Legends Cricket League where he gave an interview and talked about the number of centuries slammed by Indian cricketers. He spoke about legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, and Virat Kohli and compared them with current Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.

In a conversation with a media outlet, Akhtar said that Virat Kohli will score around 110 centuries at the end of his career surpassing the great Sachin Tendulkar. He also said that he will ask Kohli to play for more than 8-9 years so that he can have enough time in the field. In slang Akhtar further said that India will make Virat play in wheelchairs to complete his 100 centuries.

Further speaking about Pakistan Cricket, Akhtar backed skipper Babar Azam to score more centuries than Virat Kohli. Akhtar said, “Babar Azam will score more centuries than Virat.” Notably, Babar Azam has just 28 international centuries, while Virat has 75 before his name. The former left-arm pacer also praised Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar for their amazing batting skills against great bowlers of the 80s and 90s.

Virat Kohli set to roar in Indian T20 League

Star India batter Virat Kohli, who made his comeback to the form during Asia Cup last year, has been phenomenal for India. He has scored more than 1500 runs in international cricket since then. He has hammered five centuries including a 186 against Australia in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

With this tremendous form, Kohli will like to lead Bangalore in the upcoming Indian T20 League. Kohli will try to take his team to break the jinx and win their maiden title in the cash-rich league.
