India U19 created history on Saturday as they went on to beat England U19 in the U19 World Cup 2022 final. With their four-wicket win over the Prest-led side, India U19 went on to win their fifth U19 WC, the most by any team. Raj Bawa was awarded the player of the match for all-round performance.

In the meanwhile, Yash Dhull became the fifth captain after Mohammad Kaif, Virat Kohli, Unmukt Chand and Prithvi Shaw from the Asian side to win this title. Thus, several stalwarts took to social media to congratulate India on their title-winning campaign. As a matter of fact, several Bollywood stars congratulated the youngsters as well.

Among them was Shahid Kapoor, one of the most popular Indian actors. He posted a story on Instagram to praise the Asian side. However, he made a mistake while posting it and thus, was massively trolled.

"They Bring The World Cup Home๐ŸŽ‰ Huge Congratulations To The India Under 19 Squad. #BleedBlue" read Shahid Kapoor's caption. However, the image he posted was that of India's 2018 batch of U19 stars, which included skipper Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi, and others.

It was an image of them during the U19 WC 2018. The actor realized his mistake a few minutes later, and deleted the Instagram stories. However, several users on social media were quick to spot his mistake, and started to troll him across several social media platforms. They pointed out the fact that he recently shot a cricket-based movie, but still made such a silly error.

โ€œShahid Kapoor has done an entire movie based on cricket recently but still canโ€™t make a little effort to know the difference between 2018 and 2022 Indian U-19 world cup teams. Embarrassing stuff,โ€ read a Tweet. "When you are not interested in cricket, but you have to pretend due to family pressure,โ€ read another Tweet.
