The sport of cricket has seen massive changes in the last decade or so. With the introduction of T20 cricket, the players have to come up with unique ways to get ahead of the game.

Bowling has seen an increase in yorkers, slower balls and the general variation of the deliveries. Batting however has been totally transformed immensely as batters continue to figure out ways to score maximum runs on every ball.

Suryakumar Yadav has risen as the epitome of a modern-day batter. The right-hander continues to play shots that are beyond comprehension; shots that cannot be taught in batting class.

In a similar example of ingenuity, the 31-year-old batter played a shot that stumped everyone. The shot but more importantly the ease of playing it has become the talk of the town on social media.

The shot came in the 10th over of India- West Indies third T20I when Yadav uppercut an Alzarri Joseph delivery to send it over the wicket-keeper to the boundary.

The fans as well as commentators erupted in joy as the batter showed great flexibility and hand-eye coordination to easily convert a difficult ball to a four. India, on the back of Suryakumar's masterclass, defeated West Indies by a massive seven wickets. Yadav hit 76 off of just 44 deliveries with eight boundaries and four sixes to take Men in Blue to a comfortable win. Coming onto the match, the West Indies got off to a great start but could not build a very good score in the end. The home team managed to get 164/5 with the help of Kyle Myers’s 73.

Indian bowling was not up to the mark in the match as Avesh Khan came up with a poor performance. His economy rate in the match was 15.7. Coming on to chase the target, Yadav took charge of the game from the word get-go. The Mumbai batter continued his attack even after Rohit Sharma retired due to a back spasm. India eventually won the game by seven wickets.
