Team India are currently preparing for the three-match ODI series in New Zealand. Recently, they managed to win the three-match T20I series against the Kiwis with a scoreline of 1-0. In the absence of big-name players, Hardik Pandya led the team in the T20I series. Now, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in the ODI series.
However, Suryakumar Yadav won the player of the series award for his contribution with the bat in the series. He also played a brilliant knock of 111* runs off 51 balls in the second T20I match in Mount Maunganui. Now, regarding that fantastic knock, Kiwi batter Daryll Mitchell shared his opinion in an exclusive chat.

In an exclusive chat with Hindustan Times, Daryll Mitchell claimed that inning to be the best one that he has seen till now in the 20-20 format. He said: "He is seriously good, isn't he? I had the pleasure of bowling to him in the Indian T20 League. He is world-class. Obviously that inning, I personally think that's the best I have ever seen live in T20 cricket. He is easily in some pretty good form at the moment, making the game appear easy."
He also said about the courage and characteristic of young Indian players in this series. "They are world-class players. Obviously, at the international stage, they are really good and being able to experience the Indian T20 League with a number of those guys, you do see how talented and good they are. It's awesome to have them across on our shores over here in New Zealand over the summer and take them on. We as a group really look forward to taking on the best in the world and India is definitely right up there," Mitchell added.
Speaking about that second match, team India batted first and scored 191 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 111* runs off 51 balls, including 11 fours and seven sixes. In reply, the Kiwis got bundled out for 126 runs in 18.5 overs. Thus, India won the match by a huge margin of 65 runs. Suryakumar Yadav won the player of the series for scoring 124 runs in the series.
