BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is disappointed over the decision to sack former India women's coach WV Raman. Ramesh Powar recently replaced WV Raman. Powar replaced WV Raman as the head coach of the women's cricket team. The former's first task as a head coach of the team would be in June-July this year. The women's cricket team is going to play one Test, three T20Is, and three ODIs against England. The three-member Cricket Advisory Committee consisting of Sulakshana Naik, Madan Lal and Rudra Pratap Singh interviewed around 35 applicants. Thus, the council collectively agreed on Ramesh Powar's candidature.
