England U-21 and Spain U-21 locked horns in the final of the UEFA Euro U-21 on Saturday, the 8th of June. Both teams contested in a high-voltage game that went on to let the football fans wait till the last minute for the result. Eventually, the English boys emerged victorious in the end, owing to the sensational save by James Trafford in the 99th minute of the match.

Subsequently, the fans were also ecstatic following this amazing achievement of the England U-21 team in the UEFA Euro after a long wait of 39 years. They last won this title back in the year 1984.

The fans took to Twitter to express their happiness and shower praises on young England boys for this historic achievement. Fans also came up with praises for the young sensational goalie James Trafford who ended up the tournament with six complete clean sheets and not conceded even a single goal in the tournament.

Speaking of the action of the match, the first 45 minutes went without any goal for both England and Spain. But in the 4th minute of the first halfโ€™s extra time, Englandโ€™s Curtis Jones came with an impressive field goal to take his team a lead on the scoresheet.

Whereas, Spain dominated the rest of the match in most of the sections and stats except the one goal they conceded to Curtis Jones. Spain had 21 shots to their name in comparison to only 8 shots of England. On the other hand, England smashed 6 shots on target, two more than 4 shots on target smashed by the Spanish side.

Apart from that, Spain kept 65% of ball possession with them in the entire match but they were outplayed by the young Lions who had only 35% of ball possession. Spainโ€™s pass accuracy was also better than that of England with 86% in comparison to 77%.ย Spain received a total of 4 yellow cards alongside one red card whereas England was given 3 yellow cards with one red card.
