The Indian batting maestro, Virat Kohli is slowly and steadily getting his lost touch back. He has shown great form in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 so far. In three matches, he has already scored two fifty-plus scores in the tournament.

Kohli played a gem of an innings in the last match against Pakistan. Despite wickets falling at one end, Kohli held the innings together with a 60-run knock in 44 balls, striking at close to 140.

However, despite that, India lost the match by 5 wickets. Following the defeat, Virat Kohli came to attend the press conference. The former Indian skipper spoke his heart out as he made some shocking revelations.

Kohli said not a single cricketer, barring MS Dhoni, had called him or texted him when he left the Test captaincy.

At that time, there were speculations over a rift between the Indian Cricket Board and Virat Kohli. The former Indian skipper also missed a few matches, which added fuel to the fire.

"When I left Test captaincy, I only received a message from one person and I have played with that person in the past. That person is MS Dhoni, anyone else did not message me. Many people have my number, and there are many people who give me suggestions on the TV," Kohli revealed after the India-Pakistan match on Sunday.

As per reports, the Indian Cricket Board isn’t too happy with Virat Kohli’s 'lack of support' remark at the press conference. An official member of the Indian Cricket Board said that Kohli always had the backing of everyone.

“Virat has had the backing of everyone. From his teammates to everyone at the BCCI. To say that he did not get the support, is not true. He was granted a break to rejuvenate, he got frequent rest. Even everyone at BCCI wished him on social media when he stepped down from Test captaincy. So, I don’t know what he is talking about,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
