'This is crazy moment'- Fans react as Cricket fans book hospital beds in Ahmedabad for India Vs Pakistan match

The ODI World Cup is just a few months away. Hotel prices are reaching sky-high rates especially because of India and Pakistan World Cup match on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Fans are reportedly busily reserving beds at private hospitals in the city around the day of the match in this scenario.

The hotel costs in Ahmedabad are more than double the actual rates on the day of the India-Pakistan match. On typical days, the room rent at Ahmedabad hotels ranges from Rs.5000 to Rs.8000. It has now escalated to Rs.40,000. A few hotels charge up to Rs.1 lakh. Fans, on the other hand, have come up with an innovative approach to this problem, reaching out to hospitals near the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera for accommodation during the event.

Hospital officials have observed an increase in inquiries from enthusiastic cricket fans looking for a one or two-night stay at their facilities. The cost of these stays ranges between Rs 3,000 and Rs 25,000, with the package often including food and a thorough medical checkup. Nikhil Lala, a doctor from Ahmedabad stated, "We have been getting calls about the bed charges for our hospital stays on tournament days. We have a complete physical examination package. We have learned that the same situation continues in other hospitals as well. So we have come up with the idea of ​​bringing some other medical test package."

Dr Paras Shah, Director of Sannidhya Multi Speciality Hospital in Bhopal was quoted, "Since it’s a hospital, they are asking for a full-body check-up and an overnight stay so both of their purposes are fulfilled, saving money on lodging and getting their health check done."

It will be India's third match, they will first face Australia in their first match on 8th October in Chennai. Before the World Cup, India and Pakistan will play in the Asia Cup on September 2. They might face thrice in the Asia Cup with Pakistan and India might qualify for the Super 4 stages and they might meet there in the Super 4.
