The selection committee of the Indian Cricket Board omitted the middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav from the recently announced squad for the Test Championship 2023 final. The squad has been announced recently for the much-anticipated summit clash between India and Australia at the Kennington Oval in London.
Meanwhile, the former Indian batter and cricket analyst, Aakash Chopra has come up with a critical remark for the selectors on the omission of Suryakumar Yadav from the squad. He went on to put a question mark on the frequent inclusion and exclusion of Suryakumar Yadav from India’s Test squad.
“Happy for Rahane. But how does the SKY inclusion-exclusion make sense?? Select kyon kiya…kar liya toh ek match ke baad drop kyon kiya?” tweeted Aakash Chopra just from his official Twitter handle just after the announcement of India’s squad for Test Championship Final.
Here’s a look at what Aakash Chopra tweeted:

Although this tweet and analysis from Aakash Chopra didn’t go down well with a section of the Indian cricket fans. They immediately rushed to the reply section of Chopra’s tweet and came up with hard and fast-lined remarks for him. Fans also trolled Aakash Chopra by naming his analysis as useless one considering the intensity of the big clash like the Test Championship Final.
Here’s how fans reacted:
Sky t20 performances was the base to include him in the tests… right???

Now , rahane is playing well on top of that he has experience in over seas conditions .. justifies rahane’s place in place of sky… that was so simple a logic to understand for a cricket expert if you are…
They are playing to win the world cup, not to make careers, so rahane is in form, he has to be in and bring us the cup, what matters to the captain and coach is cup for india, not individual careers Aakash!

To kya direct WTC final khila dein? Chaman Hutiye cricket expert🤬
— Jack Sparrow (@Virat18fann) April 25, 2023
Haan England le jaake khilao at a time when he's struggling. Instead, I hope that SKY plays domestic cricket, scores big and gets into a good frame of mind before the World Cup.

Anyway, he's 32 and his Test cricket future is shorter than Ireland's Test cricket history.
It's a sensible selection. Inko bas criticism karna hai faltu ka..

Mann kiya select kar liya
— Srijan Das (@SrijanCricket) April 25, 2023
Phir manm kiya to drop kar diya
Thats the only explanatiom one can give
🤣🤣
Sky needs more domestic stars than IPL wind to engulf Bharat. 😊

SKYz doesn't deserve a place. Neither on the basis of his style of batting or current form. His inclusion ahead of Sarfaraz was a mistake.

Major surprise is retention of K.S.Bharat. Any thoughts regarding that.
Final hai sir
