Rishabh Pant got involved in a horrible road accident on 30 December 2022. He was going to Roorkee from Delhi and hit his car with the railing and the car caught fire. Somehow, the fire got under control and the Indian wicketkeeper was taken to Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road. The incident took place on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant and the Bollywood actress, Urvashi Rautela had shared a brief history between them in recent times. Both of them got involved in a controversy that started with an interview with the actress. Now, Urvashi Rautela shared a post on her Instagram account after this accident.

Rishabh Pant is not in the squad for the next home series against Sri Lanka in January 2023

Speaking of the post, Urvashi shared a picture of her with the caption: “Praying #love #UrvashiRautela #UR1.” Fans thought that it was a speedy recovery post from the actress for the injured cricketer. Speaking about the incident, Uttarakhand Police Director General Ashok Kumar made some huge claims. 

He said that Pant broke the windscreen to escape the flaming vehicle. He suffered head, knee, and shin injuries. His leg might have been fractured, so he was transported to the Max Hospital in Dehradun. Police also confirmed that he has suffered burn injuries, but his condition is not severe. Some reports also suggested that the cricketer was sleepy while driving and that resulted in that horrible accident.

Over this accident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami came up with full support to the Indian wicketkeeper. He also shared a speedy recovery tweet for the injured cricketer.0 According to the CMO Statement, “Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed officials to ensure all possible arrangements for the treatment of the injured cricketer Rishabh Pant and to provide an air ambulance if required.” However, Rishabh Pant is not in the squad for the next home series against Sri Lanka in January 2023. Team management wanted him to report to National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru for strength and conditioning before the Test series against Australia.
