Venues for Indian T20 League 2022 Playoffs announced! Will crowd be allowed?

The ongoing 15th edition of the Indian T20 league has managed to impress one and all. Fans have already witnessed several thrilling encounters. Besides, people are allowed to watch these games in the stadiums this time around.

As 50% crowds have been allowed for the league stages of the Indian T20 league 2022, it has got a lot more entertaining. In what comes as good news, the Playoffs shall see 100% crowds being allowed. The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly confirmed that the Indian T20 league 2022 Playoffs shall see full spectator attendance.

He also confirmed that Kolkata and Ahmedabad will be hosting these games. While The Eden Gardens in Kolkata shall host the first Qualifier and Eliminator on May 24 and 25 respectively, the second Qualifier, as well as the grand finale, shall take place at the Narendra Modi s
Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 27 and 29 respectively. Ganguly also stated the same after a BCCI apex council meeting of the board on Saturday.

"As far as the men's Indian T20 League knock-out stage matches are concerned, it would be held in Kolkata and Ahmedabad, with hundred percent attendance allowed for the matches to be played after the league staged finishes on May 22," said Sourav Ganguly. In the meanwhile, it was also confirmed that the Women's 20-20 challenge will be held in Lucknow.

Three teams will be playing four games in this tournament. Although the Indian board had earlier shortlisted Pune as a venue, Lucknow's Ekana Stadium shall host these games. Thus, fans would be eagerly awaiting this tournament, as well as the playoffs of the 2022 edition.

As far as the Indian T20 league 2022 is concerned, 36 games have been played so far. Gujarat are currently placed at the top of the points table as they have won six out of their seven games. However, Chennai and Mumbai are having a season to forget. As a matter of fact, the five-time champions have lost seven games in a row.
