Vicky Kaushal shared a video on his official Instagram account of him playing cricket on the set of his upcoming film. The shooting is taking place in Indore where he can be seen playing cricket along with the other members of the shoot.
Vicky was last seen in Sardar Udham movie where he played the role of Sardar Udham Singh. The movie was directed by Shoojit Sircar and was released on Amazon Prime Video on October 16, 2021. The movie received critical acclaim for the scenes, including that of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The movie was shortlisted for the Indian submissions in the 94th Academy Award from India but was not selected, which created a huge controversy.
The year 2022 is likely to be very busy for the 33-years-old actor. He will be seen in ‘Govinda Mera Naam’ along with Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. The movie will be directed by Shashank Khaitan. It will be a love triangle and is scheduled to be released on June 10, 2022. Vicky will also be portraying the role of India's first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw in his upcoming movie. Manekshaw was the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army and commanded the Indian forces during the India-Pakistan 1971 war. The movie is called ‘Sam Bahadur’ and is directed by Meghna Gulzar.
The movie for which Vicky is currently shooting also stars Sara Ali Khan. The movie is being directed by Laxman Utekar, the director of the critically acclaimed movie ‘Mimi.’ The unnamed movie is a small-town love story based in MP. Much like Utekar’s last film, the movie will have a social message. The dates are yet to be announced but the makers are planning to release it this year only.
"Nothing better than sneaking out time for some cricket on set," Vicky wrote on the video that he shared.
