Viral Video shows why MS Dhoni's still one of the biggest cricket stars in country, fans crowd outside gym window- WATCH

MS Dhoni, despite taking retirement from international cricket, enjoys popularity akin to an active cricketer. His fans are among the most ardent in the world and go above and beyond to just get a glimpse of the Bihar-born player.

Dhoni has been going through preparations for the upcoming Indian T20 League 2023 season in Chennai and often meets with his fans. Despite all that however fans can never get enough of him.

The mercurial captain is followed in the hotels and as per this latest viral video, even when working out. The video is question shows Dhoni working out while a hoard of fans continue clicking pictures and making videos from outside of the gym window.

The fans were even chanting Dhoni’s name on top of their lungs and whistling for their favourite cricketer. Earlier, an image of Dhoni practicing at the Chepauk Stadium. The image showed Dhoni with big biceps hitting the ball out of the boundary line.

Chennai looking for a turnaround

Chennai had a really poor season last time around when they finished 9th in the league with just 4 wins in 14 matches. They have brought in some good additions to the team in form of Ben Stokes this time around. With Ravindra Jadeja coming back into the game with full fitness Chennai look like a strong team.

Dhoni's inclusion and form would certainly be an important factor for Chennai's season. From what has been observed from myriad of video and images, Dhoni looks quite prepared for the upcoming season. Some claim, this could be the final season for the serial winner and expect the 41-year-old to go all guns blazing.

Chennai play their first match against Gujarat at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 31. Both teams would want to get their season on a strong start.
