On Day 2 of the first Test in Dominica, Virat Kohli struggled to find his flow against the West Indies. Kohli was only able to strike a boundary on the 81st delivery he faced. Kohli was dissatisfied with West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite's bowling action during Day 2 of the 1st Test match.

In fact, the stump mic allegedly heard him ranting about it to Yashasvi Jaiswal as well. With the score 240-2, Kohli stepped out to bat in the 79th over of the first innings at the loss of Shubman Gill's wicket. He took his time settling down, with centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal on the other end to keep him company.

Bhatta phenk raha hai: Virat Kohli

According to Wisden and other reports, Kohli was heard on the stump mic shouting, "Bhatta phenk raha hai," which roughly translates to "He is throwing bricks." The remark claimed that Kohli accused Brathwaite of tossing because he was unsure whether the Windies captain's bowling motion was legal or not.

This isn't the first time Brathwaite's bowling motion has been questioned. He was reported for suspicious activity during India's previous visit to the West Indies in 2019, as well as in 2017. However, he was exonerated both times because it was determined that his actions were within the legal boundaries set.

The Cricket Governing Body defines an unlawful bowling motion as "a bowler's elbow extension exceeding 15 degrees, measured from the point at which the bowling arm reaches the horizontal until the point at which the ball is released." Kohli has yet to complain about Brathwaite's action to the umpires.

His statement about the West Indies captain tossing seemed to be directed at his field mate, Yashasvi Jaiswal. So, while no official report has been filed against Brathwaite, it is probable that one of the Indian squad members would do so during the tour's two Tests. The former Indian captain has broken yet another milestone by becoming the sixth Indian batter to accomplish 8500 Test runs. On Day 2 of the IND versus WI 1st Test in Dominica, the 34-year-old attained the milestone. India are 162 runs ahead at the end of Day 2.
