India will host South Africa in a five-match T20I series commencing on June 9th. The Indian squad, led by KL Rahul, will attempt to make history by winning the most number of T20I matches in a row. India is currently on a 12-match winning streak in T20I cricket.
The official broadcasters of the series Star Sports have launched a new ad campaign featuring Bollywood Star Aamir Khan. The promo for India's series against South Africa has generated a lot of hype for the men in blue as India would look to register a 13-match unbeaten record. The Star Sports in-house team designed and created the campaign. In the commercial, Aamir Khan is seen wearing Indian blue and expressing the feelings of a fan.
"It's time for #TeamIndia to write a new chapter in their cricketing legacy & #ChaseTheRecord vs South Africa," read the caption of the promo posted on Twitter.
Notably, India and Afghanistan presently share the record for the most straight T20 victories. They would have a chance to surpass Afghanistan if KL Rahul and Co. win the first match of the series against South Africa in Delhi.

As quoted by Inside Sport, a Star Sports spokesperson said, "Following an exciting IPL, the focus now shifts to bilateral series which brings back the ‘Believe in Blue’ narrative as Team India plays for another World Record. The campaign puts into perspective the tremendous fan support and belief the country has behind the Men in Blue. This will be a continuing journey across the calendar of events that lead to the main ICC T20 World Cup later this year. Aamir Khan was a natural fit for this film."
"There’s always a very special feeling when Team India is in action. This time, they come together post franchise cricket to play for India and the world record of 13 consecutive T20I wins. I have blocked my time from 7 PM on June 9th like all the other fans for the opening match," said Aamir as per Inside Sport.
