An old video of Shafique singing a song from an Emraan Hashmi film has gone viral over the internet after the Test match against Sri Lanka.

Abdullah Shafique played a brilliant knock in the final innings of the clash against Sri Lanka to help Pakistan over the line. He scored 160 runs in 408 balls while chasing a target of 342 runs at the Galle International Stadium.

After the match, an old video of Shafique singing a song from an Emraan Hashmi film has gone viral over the internet. The 22-year-old tweeted the video of him singing 'Tera Mera Rishta Purana' back in 2020. 'Still My Fav Song," he captioned the tweet.

Earlier, Sri Lanka batted first and scored 222 runs. They were limited in what they could do since Shaheen Afridi, Yasir Shah, and Hasan Ali were at the peak of their game. In the innings, Afridi grabbed four wickets, while Yasir and Ali each took two. Dinesh Chandimal made 76 runs in 115 balls for Sri Lanka, carrying over his outstanding performance from the Australia series. The next-highest run scorer was Maheesh Theekshana, who scored 38 runs in 65 balls.

The Pakistani team suffered greatly in the following innings to settle in on a turning track. Other than team captain Babar Azam, no one contributed to the innings. Azam went on to score 119 runs in 244 balls, assisting the visitors in reaching 218 runs and giving Sri Lanka a four-run lead.

Ramesh Mendis and Theekshana each got two wickets, while left-arm orthodox bowler Prabath Jayasuriya grabbed five. In the innings that followed, three of Sri Lanka's players scored fifty runs or more. Their total of 337 runs was a result of the efforts of Oshada Fernando (64 runs in 125 balls), Kusal Mendis (76 runs in 126 balls), and Chandimal (94 runs in 139 balls).

While chasing the target, Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafique played brilliant knocks to chase down the target with ease. The young batter Shafique came out with a mature innings of 160 to destroy Sri Lanka's bowling unit, while the captain managed to score 55. In the run chase, Mohammad Rizwan also produced a noteworthy 40 runs. Mohammad Nawaz (19*) and Shafique (160*) helped Pakistan cross the finish line.
