South Zone and West Zone played each other in the final match of the Duleep Trophy in Coimbatore last week. During the game, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a marathon inning of 265 runs in the second innings of the game. This performance helped the West's score 585/4 declared, setting an improbable target of 529 for the opposition. However, during the last innings of the game, something very unusual happened.

Apparently, Jaiswal was throwing some volleys on Ravi Teja while fielding at short leg. The latter complained to the umpires after which West Zone skipper Ajinkya Rahane was forced to ask Yashasvi to leave the field. The left-handed, Jaiswal wasn't happy with the verdict but left the field anyways. The former India U19 opening batter returned to the field after seven overs following the suspension.
