Andre Russell created history in the inaugural edition of the ongoing The 6IXTY Men's tournament. Known for his power-hitting, he hit six sixes in a row in the game against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The incident happened in the seventh and eighth overs of the Trinbago Knight Riders innings. These overs were bowled by Dominic Drakes and Jon-Russ Jagessar.
In the over bowled by Drakes, Russell hit four sixes on the trot to finish the over. Due to different rules in the tournament, he was also on strike for the first ball of the next over, which was bowled by Jagessar. Russell hit two sixes in the first two balls to complete six sixes in as many balls. The right-hander got out on the last ball of the over.

The West Indies batter played a blinder of an innings as he scored 72 off just 24 balls. This inning includes five fours and eight sixes. This helped the Knight Riders post a massive total of 155/5, the highest in the tournament so far. Cameos from Tim Siefert (22 off 13), Tion Webster (22 off 10), and Seekkuge Prasanna (19* off five) also helped the team to reach a mountain total.
However, the home team (St. Kitts) came hard and made the game look really interesting. Andre Fletcher (33 off 15), Sherfane Rutherford (50 off 15), and Dominic Drakes (33 off 10) took the team close but couldn't win the game as they fell short by three runs.
With this win, the Red Army has qualified for the semi-final. They will play Barbados Royals in the second semi-final at Basseterre in St.Kitts on August 28. The team is already the most successful franchise in the history of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with four titles to its name. They would love to win this tournament as well.
