David Warner

The star Australian batter David Warner is not enjoying a very good run of form with the bat in the last few matches he played for Australia in the Tests. He could score only 43 and 1 in the all-important World Test Championship 2023 final against India. Later on, he also failed to live up to the expectations in the first Test of The Ashes 2023 against England. Warner scored only 9 and 36 in the Edgbaston Test against England.

Now, Warner is in the headlines of social media apart from the action on the cricketing field; a video is making rounds on the micro-blogging site Twitter and other social media platforms. In this wholesome video, the New South Wales cricketing veteran can be seen playing with his daughter in the nets at the Lord’s ahead of the second Ashes 2023 Test against England.

The video started going viral on social media within minutes of being shared by a user on Twitter.

Here’s the video:

Coming back to cricket, now, Warner will be in action with Australian Cricket Team in the second Test of The Ashes 2023 against England. Both teams will play this match at the Lord’s in London.

Earlier, the 36-year-old veteran Southpaw had also hinted about his retirement from international cricket. He might hang his boots from Test cricket by this year and possibly the 20-20 World Cup 2024 could be his swan song overall in international cricket.

Coming back to the Ashes 2023, the second Test is going to be very interesting as the Aussies had drawn the first blood with a thrilling win against England in the series opener at Edgbaston.

Here’s a look at the Australia squad for the Ashes 2023:

Pat Cummins (captain), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Todd Murphy, Matthew Renshaw, Steve Smith (vice-captain), Mitchell Starc, and David Warner.
