Watch: Deja vu moment for Suresh Raina, perfectly predicts Matthew Wade's dismissal

The Indian T20 League has begun with some great action on the field. However, the broadcasting team too has been on fire in the first few matches. Suresh Raina, who is making his commentary debut this season, also has been great. In the match between Gujarat and Lucknow, he predicted a wicket seconds before it actually came true.

Deepak Hooda was bowling at the moment and Matthew Wade was at the strike. Raina was talking about how Deepak Hooda had great first innings, and that he was going good with the ball as well. He said that a wicket was just around the corner. This is when Hooda cleaned up Wade with a great ball for 30 runs.

Meanwhile, the match between the two new teams turned out to be quite dramatic. Both teams lost early wickets and followed up well with their middle-order. Mohammed Shami cleaned up three players at the start of the game, which gave Gujarat a perfect start. Deepak Hooda and the young Ayush Badoni then handled the situation well for Lucknow. Their half-centuries helped them reach 158 after a poor start.

Gujarat also lost a couple of wickets early on but were stable through the innings otherwise. They had a few decent innings with Wade, Hardik Pandya, and David Miller scoring thirties. Rahul Tewatia then exploded in the end to take his team through with his score of 40 from 24 balls.

Mohammad Shami was awarded the man of the match for his excellent spell at the start. Gujarat started off their ITL campaign with a bang and got the two important points on the board.
