India’s batter, Virat Kohli showed great form in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. In three matches, he scored two fifties and looked quite assured at the crease. In the first match against Pakistan, Kohli amassed 35 off 34 balls against Pakistan before notching a half-century against Hong Kong. He played an unbeaten 59 off 44 balls in that game and helped the reach a mammoth score of 192 runs.
However, his most impressive knock of the tournament came in the Super four match against Pakistan, where he blazed his way to 60 off 44 deliveries at a strike rate of 136.36.
Heading into the next game against Sri Lanka, there were huge expectations from Virat Kohli to perform well and raise his third consecutive fifty. However, the former Indian skipper was clean bowled by Dilshan Madushanka in the third over of the innings.
The Sri Lankan pacer bowled an in-swinger that came back in and rattled Kohli’s stump. The Bangalore batter departed without even opening his account.
Here’s a look at the video of Kohli’s dismissal:

Kohli recently shared a cryptic story on his Instagram handle. Taking to his social media handle, he wrote, “Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness. They’re the ones who deserve special places in your heart.”
Ever since fans saw Kohli’s story, there were widespread speculations on the hidden message behind it.
Meanwhile, his wicket left India in huge trouble at 13 for 2 inside the first three overs. India needed to develop a partnership at that stage. Suryakumar Yadav then joined Rohit Sharma in the middle and the duo steadied the ship wonderfully.
Both of them played with caution in the first few overs before changing gears. While Yadav played as a second fiddle to Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper wreaked havoc with the bat. He turned things around with a sensational knock of 72 runs in 41 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes. He smashed Wanindu Hasaranga for two sixes and a four in the 12th over to put Sri Lanka under a lot of pressure.
