The first day of the ongoing third of the four-match Test series between India and Australia was a rollercoaster for both teams. But apart from the 14 wickets, there was something else that happened to be the highlight of the day; it was the amazing prediction of star commentator Dinesh Karthik from the commentary box.

It all happened in the 32nd over of the first Indian innings when Nathan Lyon was bowling against India’s lower-order batter Umesh Yadav. Karthik said “I think he's going for a six," and his prediction went absolutely right on the second ball of the over when Umesh smashed hit in deep-backward square leg region for a 74-m long six.

Subsequently, the video of this moment was shared by ABC Sport on their official Twitter handle with the caption, “We LOVE it when this happens! Dinesh Karthik predicts the future!”. Later on, Dinesh Karthik himself reshared the video on his Twitter handle with a caption, “I loved this moment ... Hahah.”

Here’s the video:

Speaking of the current action of the match, Team India have bundled up the first Australian innings on the score of 197 runs courtesy of three wickets each scalped by Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav in the first session of the second day. Other than these two, star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scalped four wickets on day 1 of the match.

Earlier in the first innings, the Indian batting lineup couldn’t survive for long against the spin attack of Australia and they got all out only on the score of 109 runs. The young Aussie bowler Matthew Kuhnemann claimed the first-ever five-wicket haul of his Test career alongside Nathan Lyon who scalped three wickets. Todd Murphy also claimed a wicket to his name.

At the time of filling this copy, the hosts have started their second innings and scored 13 runs for no loss at the time of Lunch on day 2. Currently, Rohit Sharma’s men are trailing by 75 runs to Australia’s lead of 88 runs in the first innings.
