Pakistan and Sri Lanka are currently playing against each other in the final of the Asia Cup 2022. After being invited to bat first, Sri Lanka have managed to post a competitive score of 170 runs on the board. Meanwhile, a bizarre incident involving some Indian fans took place at the stadium on Sunday.

As per a post shared by the popular group, Bharat Army on Twitter, it was revealed that some of the Indian fans weren’t allowed to enter inside the stadium only because they were wearing India jerseys. The security guards told them to either wear Pakistan or Sri Lankan team jerseys or they won’t be allowed to watch the game inside the stadium.

In the video, the fans were disappointed at security’s rude behaviour and urged the ICC and the ACC to look into the matter.

“The @icc & @ACCMedia1 we urge you to investigate as our members travelled all they way from India to watch the #AsiaCup2022 and have been told they can’t enter the stadium by local officials and the police! Absolutely shocking treatment! #BharatArmy #PAKvSL," Bharat Army tweeted.

The Twitter post didn’t take a lot of time to get viral it received some strong reactions from the fans.

Talking about the game, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first. The bowlers were right on the money as Naseem Shah had Kusal Mendis bowled on the third ball of the first over itself.

Haris Rauf then sent Pathum Nissanka back to the hut to leave Sri Lanka in trouble at 23 for 2. Wickets kept falling in quick succession as Sri Lanka had lost half of their side for just 58 runs on the board.

However, Hasaranga (36) and Rajapaksa brought Sri Lanka back into the game with a stellar partnership for the 6th wicket. Rajapaksa’s outstanding knock of 71 runs in 45 balls propelled Sri Lanka to 170 at the end of the first innings.

Pakistan need to score 177 runs to win the final and lift the trophy.
