After losing an embarrassing defeat against Scotland in the first match, West Indies locked horns with Zimbabwe in Hobart. It was their second encounter in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. Zimbabwe were also coming off after winning the first match against Ireland. So, fans were waiting for a good show from the Carribeans this time around.

Speaking of the match, West Indies won the toss and they opted to bat first. Their openers had a decent start. But, Johnson Charles got involved in a funny run-out incident that went viral. Fans found it funny as they shared the same video on social media platforms.

Here is the shared video:

Johnson Charles scored 45 runs off 36 balls against Zimbabwe in the 20-20 World Cup

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 13th over. Sean Williams was bowling that over while Rovman Powell and Johnson Charles were batting. On the last delivery of that over, Rovman Powell hit the ball straight to the backward point. Then, the batter took a few steps down the track.

But, he was ball-watching rather than responding to any call from Johson Charles. Charles already took a start from his end. But, when he found that Powell was not interested in the run, he slipped and fell down to the ground. Then, Munyonga threw the ball to Williams and the bowler dislodged the wicket. Rovman Powell was shocked to see his teammate in the middle.

Johnson Charles was not happy after losing the wicket in such a funny way. He scored 45 runs off 36 balls, including three fours and two sixes. Along with him, Rovman Powell also scored 28 runs off 21 balls, including one four and two sixes. While batting down the order, Akeal Hossein also scored 23* runs off 18 balls. Thus, West Indies scored 153 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. However, Zimbabwe also had a decent start. But, West Indies bowlers showed their class as they took five wickets for 78 runs in 10 overs.
