Jose Mourinho is one of the greatest modern-day managers in football. A tactician of the highest order, the Portuguese has a trophy cabinet that many could only dream of. But his biggest triumphs have been with Porto and Inter Milan when he took the two underdog teams to the biggest prize in European football; the Champions League.

Mourinho has been a mainstay at the top of football for more than two decades now and in that time he has become a unique persona among all coaches. The 59-year-old is known for making great comebacks after losses. He did the same with Porto and Milan. He also took the English club Chelsea to the top of English football ending the reign of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

It was then that Mourinho challenged the old ways of football and referring. Probably his biggest clap back at the media came in after winning the FA Community Shield in 2005.

In what has come as surprise to many, Mourinho has made a shocking cameo in UK rapper Stormzy’s new music video titled, “Mel made me do it.” This video features the Roma manager shushing the camera with his iconic line, “I prefer not to speak. If I speak I'm in big trouble,” playing at the back.

This famous comment is from a Premier League game way back in 2014. Chelsea had lost to Aston Villa and two of their players William and Ramires had been sent off. The then Chelsea coach Mourinho was also sent off for protesting the referee's decision.

After the game, he went on a restricted rant as he did not want further bans and that’s when he said these famous lines.

Jose Mourinho, master of iconic quotes

Another of his famous lines appeared in a 3-minute rant after his first trophy with Chelsea in 2005 when the reporter asked Mourinho, ‘You sound as though you're feeling the pressure.” To which he replies, “I'm not feeling the pressure. You cannot put pressure on me. No chance!”

He continues, “I read a lot of times, during this week that I have to prove a lot in English football. Sir Alex is the only one European champion in this country. So I have to prove what?” throwing a shade at the entirety of English football and the media.
