“I have lost words” - Harry Brook
Speaking of the video, Kavya Maran looked with a sigh of relief when the auctioneer confirmed that Harry Brook will don the Hyderabad jersey for the next season. Speaking of Harry Brook, he surprised everyone with his hitting abilities for England. Before the 20-20 World Cup 2022, England played a seven-match T20I series in Pakistan.
They defeated the home side by 4-3 and Harry Brook was the highest run-scorer. Meanwhile, he scored 238 runs in six innings, at an average of 79.33. But, his strike rate was the main reason to make headlines in the cricketing world. Brook batted at a staggering strike rate of 163.01. Even, in the recently concluded three-match Test series in Pakistan, he managed to score three quickfire hundreds. In that Test series, Brook scored 468 runs in five innings, at an average of 93.60.
After the auction, the Hyderabad franchise shared a video where Harry Brook was seen saying: “Hi Orange Army. I am really excited and grateful for this opportunity to come to the Indian T20 League this year. I am really looking forward to playing for the Hyderabad franchise. I have heard the atmosphere is unbelievable. One of the best grounds in the comp (competition). So, I am really excited for us to be back in Uppal. I have lost words, I was having dinner with my mother and grandmother, and they were crying when Hyderabad picked me up. Thank you so much, Hyderabad.”
