Watch: KL Rahul back in practice session ahead of the ODI series against Sri Lanka

Team India are currently busy playing Sri Lanka at home in a three-match T20I series. Followed by that, they will play a three-match ODI series against the Lankans. However, senior players like KL Rahul took a rest from the ongoing series. But, all of them will be back for the ODI series for team India.

However, KL Rahul has not been able to score frequently for the Men in Blue in recent series, across all formats. Even, in the major tournaments in 2022, he failed to score big. So, fans were not happy to see the star batter in such a form. Now, a video has gone viral where KL Rahul was seen in a batting session ahead of the upcoming ODI series.

KL Rahul will not be the vice-captain of team India in the ODI series against Sri Lanka

Speaking of the video, the star batter shared the same video on his official Instagram account. He shared it with a caption: “Right here #KLog.” However, fans came up with some mixed reactions after seeing him in such an intense net session for the ODI series. Speaking of KL Rahul, he had a forgettable 2022.

First, he missed many matches for India due to several injuries. Then, he made a comeback in the ODI series in Zimbabwe. But, Rahul failed there miserably. After that, he got opportunities in tournaments like the Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup. But, Rahul disappointed his fans with his form with the bat. Then, he took a rest from the tour of New Zealand and made a comeback in the Bangladesh tour.

There also, KL Rahul scored just one half-century in the Bangladesh ODIs while he failed to score big in the two-match Test series in Bangladesh. However, he captained the side also in that Test series in absence of the injured Rohit Sharma. So, fans will be hoping to see him with some crucial runs with the bat in this upcoming ODI series.
