After leading the Lucknow team into the Playoffs of the Indian T20 League 2022, KL Rahul has been struggling with fitness. In a major boost to the Indian team, Rahul has started training at the National Cricket Academy.
The stylish batter posted a clip on his Instagram handle where he could be seen running and doing gym workouts in what is a great suggestion for his comeback to the Indian team for the upcoming West Indies series.

KL Rahul has been missing international cricket since the Indian Premier League due to a sports hernia injury. The 30-year-old underwent surgery for the same in Germany and is on a road to recovery.
Earlier, the star batter was seen going through a net session against the legendary women’s cricketer Jhulan Goswami at NCA on Tuesday. The ex-India women’s captain is also eyeing a comeback in the Indian Women’s team after missing out on the Sri Lanka series.
KL Rahul who is not a part of the ODI team touring West Indies for a three-match ODI series but has been included in the T20I squad. His inclusion however is subject to fitness meaning he would only be included in the squad after passing fitness tests at the NCA. Kuldeep Yadav is another cricketer who is going through the same process and is subject to fitness as well. Both players are recovering at the NCA, Bangalore.
Talking of the series, India are on a tour of the West Indies with the first match scheduled on 22nd July in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The ODI team is led by Shikhar Dhawan whereas Rohit Sharma takes charge of the T20I side, eyeing the upcoming T20I World Cup later this year in Australia.
India recently defeated England 2-1 in the T20I series and in the ODI series as well with the same scoreline. Virat Kohli who has been struggling with form has been rested for the West Indies tour and will stay in Paris in the meantime.
