Watch: LeBron James amazed after the crowd welcomes him in his Innovation Center

Recently, Nike launched an event to mark its 50th anniversary. The event was attended by some of the biggest stars around the globe. One of them was LeBron James, who is a professional Basketball player from the United States. He was pretty much the guest of honour at the event. After all, the company gifted him their watch as they named a brand new innovation centre after him.

In a video that is going viral on social media, he got a warm welcome from the fans. Not to forget, a song by the name of 'Are you happy or me' was played in the background upon his entry. After entering the stage, he said that he would have never imagined a warm welcome the way he got. James also said that he always had aspirations of walking on campus.

"Wow. I never imagined something like this when I signed 20 years ago. I've always had the aspirations of walking on campus and seeing Bo's building and MJ's building."

During the event, James added that it is surreal to see himself and Nike come together over the course of his career. He further added that even though it doesn't make any sense to him, he is honoured to be part of the event. LeBron also said that it feels fitting for him to see his name associated with the Innovation building.

“Over the course of my career and my time here at Nike, for all of this to come together is surreal. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m definitely honoured,” said James. “Having my name on the Innovation building feels very fitting because I’m always trying to figure out ways I can continue to innovate and continue to break the timeline of what they say is your prime.”
