Ahead of the 20-20 World Cup in Australia, the Pakistan team are currently in New Zealand playing the ongoing T20I tri-series. After losing the home T20I series against England, the Men in Green did well so far in this series. Even they have qualified for the final against New Zealand.

However, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam will be happy to play the final after suffering a defeat at the hands of England. Regarding his captaincy, Pakistani fans criticized him a lot. Recently, a TV show host Aftab Iqbal criticized him in his show. Now, Babar Azam gave a savage reply in response to that criticism as the video went viral.

Here is the shared video:

“I don't know who you are talking about.” - Babar Azam on Aftab Iqbal

Speaking of that criticism, Aftab Iqbal said that Babar Azam is no longer a star for him in his show named, Khabarhar on SAMAA TV on 8 October 2022. He said: “For me, he’s not a star. Not because he dropped catches, not because he’s not performing. But because he has an ego issue! He’s started with players. Have you forgotten where you started from and where God took you so quickly? You should have buried your head in shame.”

Now, after winning the match against Bangladesh, skipper Babar Azam attended the Post-match presentation. In response to that criticism, Babar said: “I don't know who you are talking about. These things happen, even when we perform well, it happens. But we don't bother, we just try to keep the team's confidence and unity intact.”

He also added that they always look to give their 100 percent to win a game. But, sometimes, it does not go in favour of them as they need to work for more improvement. “We try to give our 100 percent and win. Sometimes, we are not up to the mark, but we discuss and plan about things where we can improve.” Babar Azam concluded. Speaking about Babar’s performance in the ongoing series, he has scored 177 runs in four innings, at an average of 59.
