Indian Cricket Board is the most revenue-earning system over the last many-2 years. It has been seen that they also fund the World Cricket Governing Council the most. Over the last few years, a few cricket boards have admitted to the fact that hosting the India Cricket team generates a lot of revenue for them. Former Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez has also spoken about the same.
In a video uploaded by him on Twitter, he was speaking on his nation's national television. Even though it is difficult to determine from what time the video originates, he can be heard calling Indian cricket 'the most pampered' in the world. After his statement, the host of the show asked whether Indian cricket is pampered because they play good cricket or because they generate the highest revenue. To which, Hafeez said the latter.
"I don't know a lot, but I definitely know that in our society, whoever is the earner is loved by everyone, is the most laadla (pampered), gets the most kisses from everyone," he said in a video posted on his official Twitter handle. "India is a revenue-making country. So even in bilateral series across the world, where they get sponsorship, they get a jackpot, it's hard to deny these things."
