Australia Tennis star Nick Kyrgios is known to have a fragile temperament which is why he often losses his cool. Over the years, he has been seen losing his cool against opponents, umpires, fans, and even himself. Once again he lost his cool after losing the quarterfinal game against Russia's Karen Khachanov in the ongoing US Open 2022. Talking about the game, Nick lost the game by 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-4.

After the game, he started smashing racquets on the ground while his opponent was acknowledging the crowd's applause. The Aussies smashed two racquets on the ground till they were bent which is why they won't be of any use. The video was the incident has gone viral on the internet with more than 860,000 views and more than 2000 likes on Twitter.

After the game, the 27-year-old expressed his disappointment and said that the loss was heartbreaking for him.

"It's just devastating. Like, it's heartbreaking," said Kyrgios, a 27-year-old from Australia who was the runner-up at Wimbledon in July.

He added that every other tournament in which he has participated this year has been a 'waste of time'.

"Pretty much every other tournament during the year is a waste of time, really. You should just run up and show up at a Grand Slam. That's what you're remembered by."

Asked about Kyrgios' display of disappointment, Khachanov said he saw "rackets were flying," and added: "I feel the pain for him.''

Khachanov will face No. 5, Casper Ruud, on September 9 for a berth in the championship match. Talking about both players, Kyrgios and Khachanov combined for 138 total winners (75 by Kyrgios). Khachanov was not allowed to play at Wimbledon this year after the All England Club banned all players from his country, Russia, and Belarus because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine early this year.
