Pakistan lost the series decider against England on October 2 in Lahore. Ahead of the game, the series was leveled 3-3. However, it was a walk in the park for the Three Lions as they won the series 4-3. Meanwhile, during Pakistan's innings, Khusdil Shah faced an uncomfortable situation. After he got out in the 13th over, the crowd started chanting 'Parchi-2'. The term has been used for some Pakistani players over the years.

This means that the player had been inducted into the team due to a powerful influence. The same happened with Khushdil Shah. Meanwhile, Imam Ul Haq, who opens the batting for the team in ODIs and Tests, has urged the fans not to use the term. Apparently, the opening batter has been a victim of this since making his debut in 2017. At that time, his uncle and former skipper Inzamam Ul Haq was the chief selector.

Talking about the game, the Moeen Ali-led side dominated the entire game. Batting first, they scored 209/3 at the end of the innings. Dawid Malan (78), Ben Duckett (30), and Harry Brook (46) helped the team to reach such a competitive total. In reply, the Green Brigade was never in the game and lost the game by 67 runs. Only Shan Masood (56) scored substantially. Seven batters failed to get past the double-digit mark.

Talking about the team for the 20-20 World Cup 2022, the World Cricket Governing Council has allowed for making changes till October 15. It will be interesting to see if the team makes any changes given that the showpiece event is just round the corner.
