Having won the first Test against Sri Lanka in a record-breaking run chase, the Pakistan team must be very confident going into the second match. A recent video posted by the Pakistan cricket official Twitter handle certainly proves to be the case.

The Tweet posted by the PCB read, "A relaxing day for the boys at the beach after an enthralling triumph.” The video shows Pakistan players relaxing and playing volleyball on a beach in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka.

Pakistan won the first Test by chasing a record 342 runs in the second innings, the highest at the Galle Cricket Ground. Sri Lanka, who were coming off a 1-1 Test series draw against Australia, lost to the Indian-subcontinent cricketers, who were already used to these conditions.

Batting first, the home team made 222 runs on the back of a great knock of 76 from the in-form batter Dinesh Chandimal. Babar Azam held the fort in Pakistan’s first innings but did not get any support from the rest of the batters. The Pakistan captain came up with a gritty century (119) to take the Pakistan's scoreboard to 218.

Batting conditions improved then on and Sri Lanka were able to produce 337 runs in their second innings. Dinesh Chandimal continued his rich vein of form and made an unbeaten 94 in the second innings.

Chasing a big total of 342, Pakistan’s batting was led by the 22-year-old, Abdullah Shafique, who came up with his second century in just his sixth match to shatter the hopes of the Sri Lankan team. The young batter was able to make an unbeaten 160 to lead the visiting team across the finishing line. Babar Azam also came up with an important half-century (55).

Meanwhile, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out of the second Test with a knee injury sustained on the third day of the first Test. The second Test starts on July 24th at Galle Cricket Stadium.
