Rafael Nadal was spotted starting his practice after recovering from an abdominal tear, which ended his Wimbledon 2022 campaign. He had a couple of weeks' rest before resuming the training in his academy. This time around, he has been spotted training with young prodigy, Joan Nadal. In a video uploaded by Rafael's sister, Maria Isabel on Instagram, her brother was practicing with match intensity.

A Twitter user took the video and uploaded it on the micro-blogging site, Twitter. In the video, Joan and Rafael were practicing like it was a match situation. The video has gotten 1670 views and counting and 102 likes and counting. Nadal is set to return to the tour at the Canadian Open in Montreal, which begins on August 5.

Talking about Canadian Open, he pulled out of the 2021 edition and will be looking to make a strong comeback. In the Wimbledon quarter-final, he pulled out due to injury which is why he would love to do well in the upcoming tournament. On the other hand, Joan is a teenage prodigy who is yet to mark her mark as far as winning a tournament is concern. Rafael, on the other hand, has won countless tournaments since 2004.

In that year, he won the Sopot. In the next year, he made a record of winning 11 titles in a year, which is still his highest. His second best performance came in 2013, when he won 10 titles in a year. Since then, he hasn't been able to win this much trophies in a year. However, this doesn't mean that his legacy has gone down. He has been able to add more trophies to his cabinet. At the age of 36, he doesn't seem to have too long a career but would certainly like to add to his legacy. His first challenge after returning from injury to win the Canadian Open which begins next week.
