The Gujarat Titans’ star bowling all-rounder Rashid Khan has attracted the headlines for his amazing fielding heroics in the recently-concluded 51st match of the ongoing IPL 2023 against LSG. The Afghan star left everyone stunned with his brilliant effort to dismiss the opponent opener Kyle Mayers on the second ball of the ninth over in the second innings of the match.

Rashid started running from the deep fine region, he rushed to his diagonal right and ended up folding his knees in a slide. But he didn’t leave the effort and completely stretched his hands to take a stunner. Notably, the 24-year-old covered the 26 meter-ground to take this catch.

Talking about the entire action of the match, the hosts’ Gujarat Titans were asked to bat first after losing the toss. The star opening pair of Wriddhiman Saha and young batter Shubman Gill provided an outstanding opening start of 142 runs for the first wicket in just 12.1 overs. Saha and Gill played the swashbuckling knocks of 81 and 94 runs off just 43 and 51 balls respectively. On the back of these knocks, Gujarat posted a big total of 227 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

While defending the target, the bowling attack of GT led by the veteran pacer Mohit Sharma restricted LSG to the score of only 171 runs by scalping seven wickets in the 20 overs. Mohit Sharma himself took the charge with brilliant bowling and scalped 4 wickets conceding only 29 runs in his quota of four overs. Eventually, Hardik Pandya’s men won the match by a big margin of 56 runs to keep their winning momentum in the tournament.
