India won the ODI series against England as they managed to win the third 50-over game. Rishabh Pant came up with a memorable knock of 125* to lead India to a series win. Understandably he was chosen for the Player of the Match award for his heroics and was given a medal and a Champagne.
A video of the wicket-keeper batter has emerged in which he is seen giving the Player of the Match Champagne bottle to Ravi Shastri, the former India coach and player. The former coach first declined the offer but took it when Pant insisted. Nearby fans in the stands cheered loudly as Shastri took the Champagne and headed his merry way. Twitter also came alive after watching this and made the video viral.
In another video, the veterans Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan could also be seen offering their Champagne bottles to Ravi Shastri but he declined the offer.

Hardik Pandya, a massive positive from the series
Hardik Pandya was struggling with injury for more than a year prior to the Indian T20 League 2022. He was missed sorely for his all-round performance in those games. India experimented with many all-rounders in Pandya’s absence but could not find one who could bring similar quality as Hardik does.
Now that he is back into the foray, India’s middle order and the bowling lineup has been strengthened manyfold. His quality shone the brightest in the last ODI against England.
Talking of the game, it threatened to be a repeat of the second ODI for India where they lost by a massive 100 runs. After making 259 runs in the first innings, England were all over India with the score reading 72-4 at one point. However, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya did not let this game repeat the heartbreak of the second match, and produced a 133-run partnership to win the match and series in the process.
Pant was chosen as the man of the match for his 125* off of 113, meanwhile, Hardik Pandya was chosen as the player of the series for making 100 runs and taking six wickets.
