Rajasthan's batter Riyan Parag has finally opened up on his spat with Bangalore's Harshal Patel. In the recently concluded Indian T20 League 2022, the duo had an ugly altercation during the 39th game of the season. The incident occurred after Rajasthan's innings when Parag had hit Patel for two sixes and a four in the last over. When both teams were going back for the changeover, the duo engaged in a seemingly ugly argument.
After the game, Patel didn't shake hands with Parag and thus, the incident became a major talking point on social media. Meanwhile, both players remained mum on the incident. However, the 2018 U19 World Cup winner has finally opened up about the same. While speaking on his Rooter stream, the Assam player revealed that he was upset about the way Patel give him a send-off in 2021. For the unversed, this incident had happened in the 43rd match of the 2021 season.
The right-hander revealed that he saw the replay after going back to the dressing room and remembered the incident. He took revenge and did the same thing to the Haryana player this year. On the other hand, Parag also revealed that Mohammed Siraj called him a 'kid' right after the incident.

It will be interesting to see when Patel comes up with his side of the story and what he has to say on the matter. Meanwhile, in the same conversation, Parag also spoke about the run-out during Qualifier 1 game against Gujarat while batting with Ravichandran Ashwin. On social media, it was perceived that both players had an altercation about it.
However, the 20-year-old clarified saying that he was just trying to pick a tight single and had no problem with his senior player. For the unversed, the incident happened in the last over of Rajasthan's innings.
