Team India locked horns with England on 10 November 2022 in Adelaide in the semi-final of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. Pakistan already qualified for the final by defeating the Kiwis on 9 November. So, fans were keeping their eyes on both India and England in order to get an opponent for Pakistan. 

Speaking of the match, India batted first and scored 168 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. In reply, England chased down the target in just 16 overs. So, India failed to win the match and got crashed out of the tournament. Now, a video went viral where Rohit Sharma was seen crying in the dugout after the semi-final loss.

Rohit Sharma scored only 27 runs off 28 balls against England 

Speaking of the video, the Indian skipper was devastated after suffering the semi-final loss at the hands of England. No one was expecting such a one-sided loss for the Men in Blue in the World Cup. Therefore, all fans and Indian players were in shock as the loss was very hard to swallow for them.

Then, Rohit Sharma was seen in the dugout in tears. He was sitting alongside the head coach Rahul Dravid. Fans also found the video very touching as they shared the same on social media platforms. Speaking about his performance, Rohit Sharma scored 27 runs off 28 balls in this clash. He hit four boundaries in his innings. But, his strike rate was 96.42 as it did not help his team.

Speaking about the match, India scored 168 runs for six wickets in 20 overs while batting first. Virat Kohli scored 50 runs off 40 balls, including four boundaries and one six. Along with him, Hardik Pandya scored 63 runs off 33 balls, including four boundaries and five sixes. In reply, England chased down the target and won the match by 10 wickets. Jos Buttler scored 80* runs off 49 balls and Alex Hales scored 86* runs off 47 balls respectively. Hales also won the player of the match award for his match-winning knock.
