India skipper Rohit Sharma played a handsome knock of 120 off 212 deliveries in Test 1 of the 4-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series at Nagpur. His century remains the only one in the series so far. However, in the second Test of the series, Rohit failed to score big; he did his job laying the foundation as an opener with 32 runs off 69 deliveries in the first innings before being cleaned up by Nathan Lyon.

However, Rohit was dismissed in a rather funny fashion in the second innings, caught up in two minds while running between the wickets in the 7th over bowled by Matthew Kuhnemann. Batting alongside partner Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma was not in agreement to take a second run. The skipper realized he would be late to the crease mid-way and sacrificed his wicket to let Pujara continue playing in his 100th Test match, an act that has attracted praise all around.

Here's a video of the incident:

India need 115 in the second innings to win the Test and take a 2-0 lead in the series

Regarding the game, Australia were bowled out for 263 in the match's first innings, with Mohammed Shami picking up four wickets. At the same time, India's spin twins Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin returned with three wickets each. In reply, India could only manage 262 runs conceding a negligible first innings lead of one run. Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel's 114-run partnership for the eighth wicket rescued the Indian innings as the hosts struggled at 139-7 at a point in the match.

India then bowled Australia out for 113, with Ravindra Jadeja ravishing the Australians with seven scalps while his spin twin Ravichandran Ashwin picked up the other three. In reply, India started on a shaky note, with KL Rahul dismissed cheaply for one by Nathan Lyon. Rohit Sharma's quick-fire 31 off 20 has been India's highest individual score in the second innings until the 20th over. India need 39 more runs to win this Test match with Cheteshaw Pujara and Shreyas Iyer out in the middle.
